About Dr. Nadra Powell

Dr. Powell is the school's founder and principal. She also serves as president of the HAEC board of directors. Her academic background in education as well as her 18 year experience as an educator (of which 4 were served as an academic coach) informed her of the operational best practices that will be implemented to promote success within each HAEC student and staff. Dr. Powell strives to help create a school community that encompasses high religious, cultural, and academic standards for students their families and the community. Having four children of her own, each with distinct personalities, learning styles, and interests, she is aware that there is no correct way to teach but there is a best practice for teaching.
